2025 FBCC President
Andrew Steidinger
I was born and raised on Long Island. While finishing my degree in Business
Administration at The Ohio State University, I worked almost full time as a Volkswagen
mechanic. However, at the time my car was a 1960 Hillman Minx convertible, thus my
interest in LBCs.
By graduation, I had an offer from United Airlines to train as a commercial pilot. I flew
around the world for the next 32 years. As a young adult, my first piloted airplane was an Aeronca Champ 65 hp with one engine. My last jet was the Boeing 777 with approximately 65,000 hp per each of two engines.
Taking early retirement, I continued my interest in aviation, various cars, golf, travel,
and photography. I moved from North Carolina to Greenville a few years ago, beckoned by the mountains and all the offerings of Greenville, including a welcoming and very active car club. My partner, Jo, and I are very pleased with the decision.
We have enjoyed meeting many of you and look forward to meeting the rest of you!
