FBCC Calendar

We are a car club that loves to get together and loves to drive our cars. Our main form of scheduling events is our Google Group Email Chain that you will be joined into when you become a member. Our events are very spontaneous so check this schedule often.

There are four sections to this page
1) Upcoming Events
2) Regular Events like monthly meetings
3) Non FBCC Events we attend as a club
4) Past Events

If you are a non member who would like to join us on one of our drives to check us out please do so. All are welcome. Contact Us and we will get you details. Let us know which drive(s) you are interested in.

Below is our Events Calendar so you can see items at a glance. Details for the events are further down the page. Much of what we do is spontaneous and shows up on our calendar within a few days of the actual event.

International Drive Your Triumph Day
Hosted by Brett Looper
Plan on meeting me at Childress Garage at 9:30am at the address listed below. This will give you a chance to meet the man, the myth, the legend that has taught me so much about building and restoring old tractors and cars. He has a nice collection of cars and tractors at his shop. He has a bathroom in the shop in case you need to use it while we are there. I plan on leaving there at 10am to head to Larry Looper’s barn wedding venue.

Childress Garage – 635 FARRS RD EASLEY, SC 29640

Larry Loopers barn – 101 Laurenwood Dr, Pickens, SC 29671

Larry Looper has agreed to let us take pictures of our cars free of charge. We should get there around 10:30am. Plan on helping me make of list of everyone’s name and their year, make, and model of car and what town you live in. I can bring a notepad and we can write all of that down. I will use my phone to take all the pictures of the cars. We can take individual pics of each triumph with the owner and then we can take a group Triumph picture and lastly we can take a FBCC pic of all of the cars and owners. Hopefully someone’s passenger can take the group pictures since I will be in them. Larry may be at his barn to do that for us if not.

After pictures around 11am I plan on heading to Spinx on 178 in Aderson for fuel and a bathroom stop. Here is the address. There is plenty of parking to the right of spinx in front of the waffle plant.

7252 Moorefield Memorial Hwy, Liberty, SC 29657

Depart spinx at 11:30 to get to Carsons in Anderson for lunch around noon

Carson’s in Anderson, SC for lunch. Here is the address.

150 W Beltline Blvd, Anderson, SC 29625

After lunch enjoy your ride home or join me since I plan to go home 178 from Anderson to Easley after lunch. I will probably stop at Breazeale’s Grocery Bluegrass. It is a old historic gas station where they play music on Saturday nights. I plan on taking a picture of my car there on my way home. Anyone else in the group is welcome to join me.

5109 Liberty Hwy, Pendleton, SC 29670.

Presentation: General Motors Vehicle Development Process
By Terry Jackson. Former FBCC President

Description: Ever wonder about the various steps it takes to bring a car from concept into production? The creative work. The design and build work. The testing. The plant and equipment startups. How long does it take? What are the sequential and overlapping steps? Every car company has a ‘standardized’ process as a starting point. Terry Jackson will outline the many steps involved in working up a new car program for General Motors based on the time he worked there.

Spring Convoy to MG Car Show in Port Canaveral, Florida

This is posted on behalf of the Grand Strand British Car Club. They are organizing this so contact them directly for all details and to register via the button below

I am organizing an MG convoy from South Carolina to the 60th Gathering of the Faithful MG Car Show in Port Canaveral, FL: in April. I’d like to extend an invite to members of your club who drive MG’s to join us.

Show registration, show schedules, etc are online for the 60th Gathering of the Faithful South MG Car Show. Rather than have upstate SC members drive all the way to Myrtle Beach for the convoy (although they can if they want to), it might be easier for them to join up in Charleston, or at the convoy’s overnight hotel stop just outside Savannah, GA on April 13. 2026.

The convoy will depart for Port Canaveral the next morning (4/14) with stops as needed for gas, lunch, bio-breaks, etc. We will select a route and maximum speed to match the capabilities of the cars in the convoy. I will have a trunk full of MBG parts and tools to handle most roadside repair issues, and a couple of walkie-talkies.

I set up a convoy web page on my club’s website where your members can sign up to let us know if they would like to participate. When they sign up I’ll send them all the details, overnight hotel info, etc.

Let you MG members know about the convoy!

Thanks,
Ethan
