In some recent FBCC emails about unwanted fuel fumes in our British cars, I mentioned that I own a TIF 8800A Combustible Gas Detector that I have used several times and located the source of fuel fumes in my Jaguars, and then confirmed that the fuel fumes were eliminated after I completed the repairs. I just created a video demonstrating the use of this “sniffer” device on our 1969 Jaguar E-Type and uploaded it to our FBCC website. I plan to bring this unit to Jack’s Place on Saturday 12/20/25 to help identify sources of fuel fumes in other FBCC member’s cars. I hope you found this demonstration helpful.
